Oregon Sinfonietta Plays Brahms, Bizet and Haydn in Free Concert

The award-winning Oregon Sinfonietta, now in its 45th season and conducted by Dr. Donald L. Appert, is a full symphony orchestra of about sixty members that draws together community musicians from the greater Portland metro area. The Sinfonietta performs four free concerts per season. On Sunday, January 21, 2018, the orchestra presents Brahms’ Variations on a Theme of Haydn, Op. 56a and Bizet’s Symphony in C. This season’s Soloist Competition winner, Ben Price, will perform the entire Oboe Concerto in C by Haydn. Audiences are invited to share refreshments with the orchestra members during intermission.
