Benefit Concert for the Oregon Food Bank
The Sirens, a local women’s vocal quartet, will present a concert of all Broadway show tunes on Sunday, May 19 at 3pm, as a fund raiser for the Oregon Food Bank. The Portland based quartet, Patricia Holman, Jennifer O’Leary, Melissa Olmsted, and Kay Pettygrove, has been together since 2013, and drawn rave reviews for their vocal blend, choice of music, talented back-up musicians, and high energy concerts. This concert draws from wide age span of music including both familiar “old Broadway” songs such as Send in The Clowns, I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm, and The Trolley Song, as well as lesser known tunes from newer shows such as Already Home, There’s a Fine, Fine Line, and Someone Like You. The quartet is joined in concert by pianist, Andrea Llafet; guitarist, Tom Phelps; percussionist; Scott Greer and Frank Holman on violin.
A free will offering will be received at intermission with proceeds going to the Oregon Food Bank. The concert is being held at Rose City Park United Methodist Church, 5830 NE Alameda. The building is handicapped accessible. For additional information, contact Patricia Holman at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 503-459-3090.
