Chemeketa's 50th Anniversary Gala
It’s hard to believe, but Chemeketa Community College is celebrating 50 years of educating and supporting students. In honor of this milestone, we are holding a very special gala to benefit Chemeketa’s most vulnerable students.
Please plan to attend on Saturday, June 6, 2020, and journey back to 1969, a year that included The Beatles’ final public performance, the introduction of "Sesame Street," Woodstock, and the first man on the moon - along with the establishment of Chemeketa Community College.
Join us for live music and dancing featuring favorite songs from the 1960s and 1970s, a wandering close-up magician, an amazing buffet dinner with gourmet choices to please every palate, wine offerings from Chemeketa Cellars (at a no-host wine bar), a far-out photo booth stocked with props for fun, student speakers, silent auction, and a trip down memory lane as we honor Chemeketa’s past presidents and individuals who have made an impact in the Chemeketa community. Everyone is invited to come dressed in their most iconic 1969 attire.
This will be an evening of groovy fun to support students from our community in achieving their higher education goals. 100 percent of the net proceeds raised will go to support students through:
- Child care scholarships
- First-generation college student assistance
- Specific degree and career technical education scholarships
- Emergency student relief fund
