Find Hope: A Community Discussion on Mental Health

Bekah Miles, an ASHA International Storyteller, will tell of her experience with depression, how sharing on social media helped, and show her anagram tattoo. ASHA means "hope" in Sanskrit.

A panel of counselors, crisis clinicians, and mental health team members will address issues relating to depression and suicide such as what to expect if a family member or friend is suffering from mental illness.

Joe Bertagnolli, LCSW, VA Portland Health Care System, will speak on "Suicide Prevention is Everyone's Business" covering warning signs, how to ask the question, and what you can do to help someone at risk.

Resource tables will provide take away tips on a variety of products and services during the reception following the program.
