History and Mystery: A Paranormal Tour of Dallas Oregon
You are invited to partner with a local paranormal investigation teams for the hunt of your life! You will begin at the historic Polk County Courthouse and visit plagued locations around Downtown Dallas Oregon. Because of the nature of paranormal activity, no two tours will be alike! You will walk along the courthouse lawn to explore several iconic buildings that have been in existence since 1845. Your guide will discuss the history of these awe-inspiring buildings. and share local lore of the paranormal within the these walls You will have the opportunity to go inside select long forgotten buildings to take a peek inside the mystery of Downtown Dallas. You may hear stories about mischievous spirits "rearranging" objects in an antique store, tales of breathing dolls and narration regarding the drama that surrounded a "house of ill repute". FAQ's & Rules What is the History and Mystery Tour? The History and Mystery Tour is a story telling/walking tour of Dallas Oregon conducted by a trained tour guide in the evening hours. You will enter a few buildings to learn about the mysteries surrounding them. Others you'll be close enough to touch them. Our tours recount stories from the past and newer accounts that current building occupants have shared. Some stories have been told for so long that they are almost categorized as legends. All stories are either paranormal or histories of the locations. Where do we meet? Your tour will begin on the Polk County Courthouse lawn located at 850 S. Main Street. Dallas Oregon, 97338. Click Here for Directions from Salem. Please Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. Do we need to purchase tickets in advance? We prefer you purchase your tickets in advance to your tour date/time. You can always stop by the Polk County Courthouse before the time of the tour to see if there are any tickets available for that day or time. No guarantees of availability. Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 13th. What is your ticket cancellation policy? Tickets are non-refundable, but may be transferable. Please call 503-623-2564 or email for more information. What happens if it rains? Oregonians are always prepared for the rain! Bring an umbrella! Tours are conducted rain or shine. However, if the conditions are deemed hazardous or severe, we reserve the right to postpone or reschedule the tour. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather conditions. Layers and closed toed shoes are always best. If my tour is cancelled, will I get a refund? Hazardous conditions may cause us to postpone or reschedule a tour. If we cancel your tour for any other reason, you will receive a full refund if requested. Tickets can be transferred to any other date as well. Are there restrooms available during the walking tour? Restrooms are not available during History and Mystery Tour. What is the pace of the walking tour? The tours are at a leisurely pace and last approximately 90 minutes. Is the tour suitable for children? You know your child best so you are the most appropriate judge as to whether a History and Mystery Tour is something that will work for them. We do not recommend the tours for children under 12 and would say that any child will most likely have questions related to the stories and ghosts in general. Will I be able to communicate with my Grandma who passed away last year? This tour is not intended for communication with late family members. Although Grandma Betty may be on the tour with you, we will not be dedicating time for you to speak with her. This tour is for entertainment purposes only.
