Managing Change: Why? Overcoming Resistance, Planning & Execution

Tuesday, September 17, 2019, 6:00 PM

This event is open only to SVP Partners and Encore Fellows. SVP Partners and Encore Fellows are change agents: whatever you're doing is going to require the nonprofit to change, yet if the nonprofit thought changes were worth making and knew how to implement them, they'd have implemented them. But the staff may not know what changes to make to achieve their goals, may be focused on delivering services, or don't know how to implement changes. Indeed, unless they are in crisis, nonprofits, like most organizations, tend to resist change. They might well resist the changes they've invited Partners/Fellows to undertake. After completing this workshop, you will understand the forces behind resistance to change and be able to plan for and execute strategies to help nonprofits implement changes to improve their operations.  The workshop will be co-facilitated by Steve Maser and Partner Julie Gray.  Coffee, tea, snacks will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch.
