Oregon Sinfonietta Premieres Appert ‘Violin Concerto’

The award-winning Oregon Sinfonietta, now in its 47th season and conducted by Dr. Donald L. Appert, is a full symphony orchestra of nearly 80 members that draws together community musicians from the greater Portland metro area. The Sinfonietta offers four free concerts per season. On Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 3:00 pm, the orchestra will premiere Dr. Appert’s Violin Concerto, composed specifically for the Oregon Sinfonietta and concertmaster, Darrell Hunt, as well as Dukas’ Symphony in C. Audiences are invited to share refreshments with the orchestra members and soloist during intermission.
