Portland 2019 Fall Protection Competent Person Class

2 Day Fall Protection Competent Person Training Hosted by Brian Clarke and G.E.W LLC  Wednesday May 29 8am-5pm Thursday May 30th 8am-5pm GEW, IBEW-NECA, 3M Fall Protection, and Northwest Scaffoldare all coming together to support The Central Washington University Safety Program   To help them raise the funds they need to educate the next generation of safety professional, GEW is organizing a 2-day fall protection competent person class in Portland Oregon. G.E.W llc will donate ALL net proceeds to the Central Washington University Safety Program Student Endoument fund.  The Training will be provided by 3M Fall Protection, the location is being provided by NECA-IBEW, structure is provided by Northwest Scaffold. This is an excellent opportunity to get 3M Fall Protection Factory Competent Person Training locally and at a much-reduced price. The factory list price for this is normally $1,190.00 plus travel to a training center.  Thanks to everyone involved this is being provided for only $850.00 per person.  This reflects a very significant savings when you consider the savings of travel, lodging, and other travel related expense.  We also get to feel good knowing we are supporting a great cause.   Training will be provided by 3M Fall Protection (click for training page) Students will need to bring their fall protection harness. The Competent Person training enables the attendee to be responsible for the immediate supervision, implementation and monitoring of a managed fall protection program. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a certificate acknowledging you have met or exceeded OSHA and ANSI requirements as a Competent Person and Competent Inspector. This course includes in-class lectures including slides and video and hands-on scenarios ​applying theory discussed to practical workplace situations. This Competent Person training is a pass/fail program incorporating both written and practical examinations and is based on the requirements of the OSHA Regulations, ANSI Z359.2 as w​ell as local legislation that will be discussed and reinforced.
