Python Programming Introduction Training in Portland, Oregon
This 2-day, hands-on, instructor-led course will be held in our technology center in Portland, Oregon. In this course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of programming in Python, and you’ll develop applications to demonstrate your grasp of the language. Specifically, you will learn how to set up Python and develop a simple application, and declare and perform operations on simple data types, including strings, numbers, and dates. You will also learn how to declare and perform operations on data structures, including lists, ranges, tuples, dictionaries, and sets. You will learn how to write conditional statements and loops, and ow to define and use functions, classes, and modules. Additionally, you will learn how to manage files and directories through code, and how to deal with exceptions. Target Audience: those who want to learn the Python programming language in preparation for using Python to develop web and desktop applications. It is recommended, but not required, that you have at least six months experience programming in an object-oriented language. Even if you don’t, this course can be useful to those that are new to programming. Computers are provided in the classroom as well as participant course manuals. When should I arrvive, what can I expect the day of class, are there refreshments? Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to class to check in and get situated in your classroom. Starbucks coffee, tea, juice and sodas will be available throughout the day. Snacks will be provided before class and at breaks. Restaurant maps are available to help you plan your lunch break. If you prefer to bring your lunch, a refrigerator is available as well as a place to eat and relax. Dress is casual and comfortable to allow for the optimum learning environment.
