Sing Out, Portland! A Celebration of Community in Music

Saturday, November 23, 2019, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Sing Out, Portland! is a benefit concert intended to showcase the best parts of a city that we love here in the Pacific Northwest. It will highlight and remember all the good that Portland has to offer while bringing together perfect strangers and treating them as their own neighbors. The night will consist of 3-4 local musical artists at The Old Church, a beautiful 300 seat venue which also happens to be a historic landmark. The event will run from 7:30pm-10pm with a 15 minute intermission in the middle. Every single dollar from ticket sales, after covering the cost of the venue, will go towards local non-profit Compassion Connect. Compassion Connect facilitates a number of life-saving efforts, one of which is to help usher women and men out of the horrific world of sex-trafficking.

The entire event, aside from staff at the Old Church, will be volunteer run. None of the artists will be getting paid for our time and talents, this is purely a labor of love for the city of Portland and the people who encompass it. Because this is an event intended to showcase the city of Portland, all artists, volunteers and sponsors involved will be Portland-based. This will be a special night, intended to bring the city together out of a spirit of compassion, celebration & a re-kindled sense of community.
