White Light

Sunday, April 28, 2019, 3:00 PM

Oregon Repertory Singers' 45th season closes with a celebration of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, the most performed living composer in the world and an important figure from the choir’s history. Describing his music, Pärt once famously said: “I could compare my music to white light, which contains all colors. Only a prism can divide the colors and make them appear. This prism could be the spirit of the listener.” The singers perform his "Berliner Messe" and "Te Deum" with string orchestra, as well as the a cappella work "The Woman with the Alabaster Box."
