"Fun with Animals” by Phyllice Bradner and Friends
May's featured show at Currents Gallery in McMinnville will be Phyllice Bradner’s animal art. Along with Phyllice’s fun paintings and wood block prints, several other gallery exhibitors will be added to the mix. A variety of silly dogs, crazy cats, clever birds, funny frogs, and a sampling of more serious pieces will be on display to capture the hearts of all sorts of animal lovers. Phyllice grew up in Los Angeles and lived in Alaska for almost 40 years. During her time in the northernmost state, she was an award-winning graphic designer, writer, historic restorationist, political consultant, and antique shop owner. Phyllice is an accomplished fine artist whose whimsical etchings, paintings and hand painted scarves reflect her sense of humor and unique vision of the world. She also co-authors the comical Silver Sisters mystery series with her sister, Morgan St.James.The public will be able to meet Phyllice and several of the participating artists during the Opening Reception on Friday, May 17, during McMinnville's "3rd on 3rd" Art & Wine Walk.
